Connemara Tour Prices and What They Include

Connemara tour prices run from $51 for a seat on a Galway coach to $3,857 for ten days from Dublin. The range is wide because the products are different things: a seat, a car, a guide, or a holiday. This guide sets out what each costs, what the fare covers, and what you pay on the day, so the Connemara tickets figure you see is the one you spend.

What does a Connemara tour cost?

• A shared day tour from Galway: $51 to $134 per person.
• A private car or minibus from Galway: $643 to $936 for the group.
• The guided hike or the e-bike day: $228 per person, for your group alone.
• A small-group tour from Dublin: $1,001 to $3,857 per person, for three to ten days with hotels.

The lowest day fare is Galway Tour Company's Cong day at $51. The highest is Lally Tours' small-group sheepdog day at $134, which caps the group at 25 and pays two admissions. These are starting prices from September 2026, and the booking page prices your own date and party.

Is the price per person or per car?

The shared days, the Dublin tours, the guided hike and the e-bike day are per person. The private cars and the minibus are per group, up to a set number of seats.

That difference decides the maths. A couple on Lally Tours' Leenane day pays $76 each. The same couple in the private half day pays $643 between them, about $321 each. Seven people in that car pay about $91 each.

What does the fare include?

Every day tour includes the vehicle and the driver, and most list a guide or live commentary. Beyond that it varies. Lally Tours' Kylemore days add the Kylemore ticket. Its small-group day adds the sheepdog demonstration too. Fat Bike Galway's days include pickup in Galway, water and a sheepdog demonstration, and the bike day adds a helmet and safety kit.

The Dublin tours include hotels: two nights on Rabbie's 3-day tour, four on its 5-day, and nine with breakfast on Overland Ireland's 10-day tour.

Which fares include the Kylemore ticket?

Lally Tours' Leenane day, from $74 to $76 depending on where you book, and its small-group sheepdog day at $134. Overland Ireland's 10-day tour lists Kylemore Abbey and Gardens entry as well.

Every private car leaves the ticket to you. Ireland Wild Escapes and Rabbie's 3-day tour do not say either way, so ask. Kylemore Abbey does not print a single fixed price that can be quoted here, so budget from the one figure an operator prints.

How do the cash-to-the-driver fares work?

On some days the ticket is sold on the coach. Galway Tour Company's listing says the Kylemore entrance fee is optional, payable to the driver, EUR 14 per person. Nathalie, on that day, told others to budget EUR 14 a head. Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours' driver sells Kylemore tickets at a discount, for cash only.

So carry euro in notes. The fare you booked in dollars does not cover it, and Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours' listing says cash only. If you skip the abbey, you pay nothing more.

What does the national park cost?

Nothing. Connemara National Park has no entry fee and free parking, and it is open all year. The visitor centre's exhibition and its 20-minute film are free too, and so are the playground and the picnic areas. On a park day, the seat is the whole cost of the day, apart from lunch.

What does Aughnanure Castle cost?

Aughnanure Castle, near Oughterard, charges its own admission, set by the Office of Public Works:

The 2026 season runs from 27 February to 18 November, daily from 9:30 to 18:00, and to 17:00 from 29 October. Walk About Galway's private sheep-farm day spends an hour there; the admission is extra.

What else will you spend?

• Lunch: no day tour includes it. The Dublin tours leave lunch out too.
• Tips: Lally Tours, Galway Tour Company, Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours and the Dublin tours list gratuities as not included.
• Other admissions: the sheep farm and the Cliffs of Moher visitor centre on the private days, and admission fees on Rabbie's 5-day tour.
• Your night in Galway or Dublin: if you come in by train for a day tour.

How much is a private tour per person?

Divide the group price by your party. The table shows it for a full vehicle and for two.

A full minibus comes to about $62 each, close to a coach seat, for a ten-hour day you shape yourselves. Admissions are extra on every private car.

What do the Dublin tours cost per day?

Rabbie's 3-day tour costs $1,001, about $333 a day with two nights and the Cliffs of Moher ticket. Its 5-day tour costs $1,528, about $305 a day. Overland Ireland's 10-day tour costs $3,857, about $385 a day, with nine nights, nine breakfasts and a list of admissions.

Why does the same day appear at two prices?

Lally Tours and Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours sell some of their days through two booking sites, and each site sets its own starting price. Lally Tours' Leenane day shows at $74 and $76. Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours' three-hour day shows at $57 and $58.

The operator, the kerb and the route are the same. Check your date on both and book the lower fare. The listings differ slightly in their small print, so read the inclusions on the one you choose.

Is the cheapest day the best value?

It depends on Kylemore. Galway Tour Company's Cong day is the lowest fare at $51, but if you go into the abbey you add EUR 14 in cash. Lally Tours' Leenane day costs $76 with the ticket already paid, and gives you Leenane and Killary as well.

If you do not want the abbey at all, the lowest price is also the best. Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours' park day costs $57 for three hours on the trails, and the park charges nothing. Lally Tours' park day costs $64 for two hours there, with Leenane and Spiddal.

What does the hike or the e-bike day cost for a group?

Fat Bike Galway prices each place, so the total grows with your group. At $228 per person, two of you pay $456 and four pay $913. For that you get a guide, pickup within 3 km of Galway city, and a sheepdog demonstration at Loch na Fooey.

For four people, that is more than the private half day's $643, but the half day is a drive with one long stop, not a day on foot or on a bike.

What are the refund windows?

Most Galway day tours and private cars refund in full if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead. Rabbie's needs 21 full days' notice and refunds nothing after that. Overland Ireland's 10-day tour and Wild Atlantic Way Day Tours' private chauffeur day cannot be refunded or changed.

Fat Bike Galway and Connemara Chauffeurs move or refund a day they cancel for weather. Book the non-refundable ones only once your dates are fixed.
